Notre Dame football will play a pair of marquee games on two major stages in the coming years.
The Irish announced a pair of games with Wisconsin on Monday, one on Oct. 3, 2020 at Lambeau Field and one on Sept. 25, 2021 at Soldier Field.
The series was officially announced in a joint press conference Monday at the Under Armour store on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue with Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez, Notre Dame athletic director James E. Rohr, Notre Dame vice president Jack Swarbrick, Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy and general superintendent and CEO of the Chicago Park District Mike Kelly.
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 8-6-2, while the teams have not met since 1964.
The series with Wisconsin adds to what already is a consistent Big Ten flavor to Notre Dame’s future schedules. The Fighting Irish are scheduled to play Michigan State this year and in 2026-27, Northwestern in 2018, Michigan in 2018-19, Purdue in 2020-21 and 2024-25 and Ohio State in 2022-23.
